Storyboarding my Journey!

First Scene- The person will be looking at their phone. They'll get a message or see a special deal on their favorite food from their favorite food place. They have to get there, otherwise they'll miss it!

Second scene- The person then rolls their bike out, getting ready to start their journey to that wonderful meal.

Third scene-In first person, the person rides their bike. It's daytime, nothing has changes.

Fourth scene- The ride continues, But it cuts to nighttime in a different location. This trip is taking a lot longer than expected, but we're not giving up!

Fifth scene- It starts to rain, but you keep riding. The change in location represents the journey.

Sixth scene- He almost trips from it! It seems difficult to keep balance, but the food journey doesn't end here. He regains his footing. Then, he keeps travelling to different locations.

7th scene- They vary a lot and it'll be like a quick succession of cuts.

8th scene- He's close! He enjoys the view of the town his favorite shop is in.

9th scene- He hits something and falls off his bike. It hurts, but he's just fine!

10th scene: He looks up, and sees it! His favorite food shop! He's finally made it.

11th scene- He goes ahead and orders his food, and grabs it.

12th scene- He eats it, right next to his trusty old bike that took him all this way.

Each scene will be about 5-6 seconds, but in some cases the cuts may make it shorter. They all help bring it together, though!

Planning to be on the road? Maybe...

PROPS- Since i'm doing a travelling music video, the key thing is well.. The mode of transportation! I decided to use my wonderful bike for this occasion! Other props include whatever technology i use on the trip, like my phone in hand, or maybe food/items depending on the locations i go to. I want it to be immersive. COSTUMES- In my music video, i plan on using relatively normal clothing. This is more of a modern rendition of a classic kind of video, trucker hat on, wheat in mouth, that kind of thing. I want to make it engaging, happy, fun. SCHEDULE On 11/16/21 I plan on making sure all my props are in order. On 11/17/21 I plan on establishing my backup plan, costumes, schedule, and location On 11/18/21 I will work on the storyboard for the music video. On 11/21/21 We will begin recording On 12/7/21 Final touches will be made. Location The great thing about this music video is that there is no set location. I have multiple, and it will vary. From beaches, to fancy houses, to regular stores, through rain, through sun, at night. It's meant to match the vibe of the music video, which is travel. To keep going. I'll have a few set locations though to keep it simple, like outside of where i live, Around the supermarket, Near a beach if i can, and much more.

BACKUP PLAN- If the weather is not good, that's okay! I can still record in the rain, it makes a great addition for my video. If it's impossible, then i'll just have to wait until the weather clears. Maybe make a segment where i'm walking inside of something.

RESEARCH BLOG

My group is doing a music video about overall travel. In these commercials, the audience usually sees people riding, driving, using any mode of travel they prefer to get from one place to another. It represents the journey of the person in order to get what they want. Often, it shows the person an important lesson along the way that they learn to keep. OR, they pertain to the adventure itself making that journey worthwhile.
These commercials are normally very gritty and realistic. They wear regular old clothes, they may be battered, worn, or torn as time goes on. These are often the costumes in such commercials. It isn't meant to be fancy, or rich when it comes to presentation. It's nothing like the common conventions of music videos, which show a premium fashion.
The props include the actual mode of teleportation themselves, but since i'm thinking about bringing more engagement into it i may use other technology like phones, etc. Also, depending on the situation or the environment, there can also be many other props and tools used that helps this person get through whatever situation they're in. It's a really nice, fun commercial that is meant to warm the eart
The score through the commercial involves a lot of guitar. A lot of gritty singing about travel, persevearance, and other modes that represent what's going on in the video.
Conventions and codes in these commercials often include some form of transport being the main focus. The travel, the journey, and the lesson. They really engage and focus on the adventure other than the endpoint. This brings out an important lesson, that the adventure is really what makes the journey, and not always the end goal.
These commercials are often including all 3. Ethos, in a way that you'll see a specific bike used or form of transportation that you trust and rely on. Pathos, about how usually you'll see them going through things, showing emotion while travelling, things like that. It brings out the humanity and realism in the commercial. These factors together, really bring the overall point of travelling out. To see the world, experience things unique to you. Growing as a person is usually the outcome.

On the road again... towards my group blog!

Now, the important part.. who am i going to work with? I haven’t quite decided. It’s a tricky process, and it’s a bit hard to decide because you may have too much or too little. I think i’m going to work alone for this project and see how things smooth out. Why? I think having myself to rely on and being solely responsible is important. I want my work to be a product of the effort I put into it. As much as i would need other people for potential actors, which is why i’m considering 1 or 2 more teammates, I am mostly set on working myself. I really want to see the creative things i can come up with when there’s no one else to lean on. It’s something that can really be produced by me. I want to make myself proud, kind of like one of those indie music videos. Those are very creative and intricate, and i find it amazing how one single person can manage so much. It’s very inspiring. Will it be hard work? I don’t know, but it’ll definitely be an experience worth keeping. For now though, i do intend to work with myself. I’m experienced in editing too, so maybe i can make up for my cinematic shortcomings with better editing? It’ll be great directing, storyboarding, and maybe even acting? (if i can figure out how to do that by myself...) Regardless of what the future has to come regarding my music video, i still want to make an enjoyable, cinematic music video that is a product of my own hard work. I’m definitely looking forward to this process. I don’t think i’ll dislike any of it! For my song, i chose On The Road Again by Willie Nelson. I chose this song because i had an idea of what i wanted to do, and this song deeply personifies it. I want it to be a simple, homey video. I'd like to make one by myself, but if needed i'll have others join me on the road again!

I'm Back! (With some music too!)

Hello! My name is Gregory Bradley, and I am going through my AS level experience in AICE Media Studies. I decided to try out this class, as I was hearing from many people that it could be interesting. I also am a very avid watcher of movies. Horror movies are a great choice of mine, though nightmares do happen... I'm a junior in high school, 17 years old to be exact. I usually am too invested in trying to get free time to worry about anything else. When I'm not playing a video game due to boredom, or editing some video, I'm usually invested in schoolwork. I have a huge family that has a lot of roots from many different parts of the world! I like all kinds of foods, and I enjoy  I'm not picky though, I enjoy trying out new things, and this is another thing I've decided to invest time into. I'm very lazy though, I'd rather lay around. If there's one thing I enjoy about work though, is the outcome. I find it amazing when something you've worked hard for finally comes to light. I feel like when it comes to work though, I'd rather rely on myself more than others, and try and make it to the best of my ability! Otherwise, I just focus on work until I don't have to, and have fun while I'm doing it! I do miss work that has a lot of meaning and is engaging and fun, so with this class I hope that I can definitely enjoy it. I'm not a huge fan of classes filled with hardcore note-taking. I do prefer to work alone, though, and that's fine, but I really do try to hold my work to a high standard as well as myself. I'm mostly a quiet person, but I can definitely hold a conversation if needed. Overall, I'm really looking forward to taking this class, and hopefully making a lot of new friends along the way.

WIllow's Walk: The Film

Here it is! I had so much fun making this film and I hope to have more opportunities to do this in the future!
